Alfred Gough, co-creator and executive producer of the Netflix dark drama, has hinted at a possible follow-up, saying ‘there’s definitely more you can find in Addams’ world’.
Speaking to Empire, Gough said: ‘[Screenwriter] Miles Miller and I have been talking amongst ourselves about it. There is definitely more to the world of Addamses that you can explore.

In an interview with TV Line, Miller also confirmed that discussions are underway — producers are keen to focus on other members of the iconic family rather than just Wednesday (Jenna Ortega).
He also revealed a possible plot line for the second series to learn more about the relationship between Wednesday and her mother Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones).
Miller said: ‘We felt like we just touched the surface with those characters and the actors are so wonderful in those roles.
‘Catherine is, I think, an iconic Morticia. The relationship between Wednesday and Morticia is also essential to the show, and the idea that Wednesday is trying to make her way outside of the family is important.

The show landed on Netflix last week and went straight to the top of the most viewed list, beating The Crown, 1899 and Dead To Me.
The spooky drama stars Zeta-Jones as the inimitable Morticia, and her husband Gomez, played by Luis Guzmán, alongside Uncle Fester (Fred Armisen) and Pugsley (Isaac Ordóñez).

Christina Ricci, who starred as Wednesday in The Addams Family (1991) and Addams Family Values (1993), also made a cameo as Miss Thornhill on the Netflix show.
The first season ends with the gothic teen going home for the holidays after her first stint at Nevermore Academy, where she honed her psychic abilities and solved mysteries.
The first series left off a number of storylines, including Wednesday’s sinister stalker.
