Violence broke out at a local football derby in Turkey after an irate supporter stormed the pitch during the league match between Göztepe and Altay.
The TFF Second Division clash between the two teams ended in disarray as Altay goalkeeper Ozan Avrim Ozenc was subjected to a brutal attack.
The shot-stopper was having a discussion with one of his teammates after play was stopped to allow an ambulance onto the pitch to deal with a previous disturbance in the stands.
Ozenk, 29, was unaware of what was going on behind him as the lethargic fan made his way across the penalty box with a corner flag in hand before unleashing a series of blows using his arms.

The unnamed fan loudly struck the goalkeeper twice on the head as members in the crowd could be heard in disbelief at what was happening before their eyes.

The incident, along with the attacker’s ability to run unchallenged across the pitch, raised concerns about the safety of the players, leading to questions about fan disorder at matches around the continent.
The goalkeeper was taken to hospital for further tests on his head injury, while referee Emre Kargin sent both players back to their changing rooms before calling off the match.
Commenting after the incident, Göztepe called for dangerous supporters to be punished in an official social media post, writing: ‘We wish a speedy recovery to our fans who have been seriously injured by the fire that broke out from the Altai Away Stand. were mortally wounded,
‘Whoever perpetrated these incidents, we want severe punishment to be imposed on them!’
