Tom Brady gets SKUNKED! Browns beat Bucs amid visit from small, smelly mammal

Tom Brady gets stingy! Browns come back to beat Bucs in overtime as Cleveland’s First Energy Stadium is invaded by a small, stinky mammal

For once, the stench emanating from Cleveland’s First Energy Stadium on Sunday had nothing to do with the Browns’ performance.

Instead, it was a genuine rookie who found his way into the stands as Cleveland came back from a 17-10 third quarter deficit to beat Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 23-17 in overtime. With the loss the Browns improve to 4–7 while the Bucs drop to 5–6.

According to Cleveland.com, the skunk appeared in the stadium’s lower bowl around halftime and was last seen hiding under one of the steps. Some fans threw food at the frightened member of the Mephytidae family, which did its best to stay away from human contact. There were some scary moments when the crook appeared to be trapped under a step, but he managed to escape.

While the skunk had no interest in people or game, it appeared hungry as it examined empty containers of peanut shells and in the area under the seats.

And the rogue wasn’t the only intruder at FirstEnergy Stadium this week. On Monday, the encroachers vandalized the stadium and ran their car into the ground.

The team said it passed the information on to Cleveland police, which are investigating.

According to the team, at some point in the night, someone entered the stadium and drove a vehicle onto the grass playing surface, causing ‘some surface damage’. Aerial TV footage showed tire tracks spread over half the field.

Chubb powered through a pile of bodies at the goal line as Brown (4-7) sent Brissett off with the win. Watson, who has been banned 11 games by the NFL for sexual misconduct allegations, will start next week in Houston.

Chubb’s short TD was set up when Brissett connected on a 45-yard pass to Amari Cooper, who found himself wide open when Bucs cornerback Carlton Davis III slipped and fell near midfield.

The Browns tied OT on tight end David Njoku’s remarkable, one-handed TD catch with 32 seconds left in regulation. Njoku extended his left hand on Brissett’s 12-yard scoring strike in the back of the end zone.

Brady threw two touchdown passes, but could accomplish nothing in 10 minutes of OT.

Led by All-Pro end Myles Garrett, who had 1 1/2 sacks, the Browns held Tampa Bay (5–6) without a point on their final seven possessions. Brady completed 29 of 43 passes for 246 yards and was sacked three times.

Brissett went 23 of 37 for 210 yards. Chubb finished with 116 yards on 26 carries.
