The men were found in the plane’s landing gear after the plane landed in Miami on Saturday. The man arrived in Miami in the landing gear of American Airlines Flight 1182.
The 26-year-old was immediately arrested by US police. He was in gear for about two and a half hours from Guatemala to Miami. Authorities say he was found alive on such a long journey.
He was rushed to the hospital from the airport. Border police have launched an investigation into his alleged secret entry into the United States.
According to the US Federal Aviation Administration, at least 100 people have been killed and 29 injured since 1947 while flying to the United States in various wheels or landing gear.
