The Weeknd stepped back on stage at Sophie Stadium on Saturday, two months after his concert was cut short in tears due to vocal problems in the middle of a performance.
The 32-year-old singer joked with fans and claimed he was “back at the scene of the crime,” but put on an incredible show to sold-out crowds as part of his After Hours Till Dawn tour.
During their September 3 performance at Inglewood Stadium, the Blinding Lights artist ‘lost’ his voice at the beginning of the show, causing him to abruptly exit the stage just 18 minutes into the show.

The 2015 hit song came after The Weeknd originally experienced vocal problems two months prior. However, to the relief of the singer and his fans, the performance went smoothly and there were no problems.

Not long into the makeup gig, the star took a moment to say a few words to the crowd in between her set list, according to Yahoo Entertainment. ‘And we’re back at the scene of the crime, it seems,’ he joked lightly.
‘How is it feeling tonight, is it feeling good? I love you. And the party’s just begun,’ Abel said as the crowd began to cheer.
The artist himself appeared in high spirits and, at one point, was seen holding the microphone stand above his head, feeling triumphant that everything was going well.

In an Instagram video shared by Yahoo Entertainment, The Weeknd also expressed gratitude to fans for their return and continued support.
‘Thank you from the bottom of my heart for fighting through this with me, and for coming back and showing me so much love,’ he said, ‘I knew you would come back.’
‘I love you guys so much, and I don’t know what else to say. Los Angeles, I love you!’

At one point during the concert, the stage lights dimmed and Abel took a few minutes to look emotionally at the crowd, taking heavy support.
During his September 3 show, The Weeknd booed the audience shortly after the start of the concert during Can’t Feel My Face, causing him to promptly lose his voice.
He took the stage to the music and sadly informed 70,000 fans in attendance: ‘I want to personally apologize to you guys. I don’t know what happened when I screamed, but I lost my voice.’
