Kathmandu. The world’s third-largest precious metal diamond has been found. According to Reuters, the diamond, 73 mm long, 52 mm wide and 27 mm thin, was found in Botswana on Wednesday.
The 1098 carat diamond is said to be the third largest ever found on earth.
The diamond was handed over to Mokvetsi Masi, executive chairman of the Botswana diamond company Debswana. In the 50-year history of diamond mining, such a large discovery has been made, says Masi.
