Block star Sarah-Jane has opened up about undergoing a double mastectomy just weeks after her disastrous auction during the show’s finale.
The 30-year-old mother-in-law had major surgery after she had the BRCA1 gene and was at high risk of developing breast cancer.

‘The night before I definitely cried in my bed. I was looking at my breasts and I thought “I’m really going to miss you”.’
‘I had a great rack – it’s something I’ve always loved about myself.’
Sarah-Jane even joked on Woman’s Day that she’ll never have to wear a bra again.
‘I could have grown up, but I just wanted to look like me. There is definitely a silver lining!’ He added.

Last week, Sarah-Jane revealed that life-saving surgery was approved just one day before the November 5 block auction.
‘It’s been a long time in the making – I’ve been on this list for over five years. Then, the day before The Block auction, he called me: “We’ve got a spot for you,” she said in an Instagram post.
Sarah-Jane decided to have the procedure because her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer the first time she was 36.

The reality star, who finished third on this season of The Block with husband Tom, revealed she had all of her breast tissue removed before getting the implants.
She showed off her medical wear, including a compression bra with two bags under her arms to drain fluid from her breasts to prevent swelling.
“It’s day five since my double mastectomy and I’m wearing my compression bra, which they tell you to wear afterwards,” she explained.
‘I had all my breast tissue removed, then I immediately got implants.’
