The Block is rocked by another cheating scandal after Sharon and Ankur guessed a wine recipe and walked away with $50k worth of prizes
The Block’s Sharon and Ankur were accused of Googling wine recipes to win $50k worth of prizes during a winemaking challenge Tuesday night.
The drama unfolded when the teams flew by helicopter to the Levantine Hill estate, where they were asked to recreate the winery’s 2015 Samantha’s paddock blend.
Despite teams struggling to get the mix just right, Sharon and Ankur managed to whip up a nearly identical mix in just 10 minutes.

The Block’s Sharon and Ankur (pictured) were accused of cheating on Tuesday night to win “a prize worth $50k,” one of the biggest scandals to rock the series.
Suspicions arose after the challenge when Omar arrived by helicopter to tell Ryan and Rachel that they had been told the mix was almost perfect.
This move prompted Ryan to ask Ankur about the blend, and said: ‘Man, I went and tasted your wine, it tasted so close.’
‘Yeah, because I’m ap*** head,’ Ankur replied, trying to take the sting out of the comments.
Ryan continued to investigate further, asking him how he had managed to put the same mix together so quickly.

The couple were questioned by Rachel and Ryan after they managed to whip up a nearly identical blend of wine at the Levantine Hill estate during a brewing challenge.

‘Man, I went and tasted your wine, it tasted so close,’ Ryan asked Ankur. ‘Yeah, because I’m the ap*** chief,’ replied Ankur, trying to take the sting out of the comments.
Ankur turned back and said, ‘When 2015 came, I drank it every day in Kovid.
Sharon then went on to say that the Levantine Hill estate sponsored Fashion Week, giving her several freebies.
Sharon said, ‘They sponsored Fashion Week and we got them all. ‘I liked 10 different shows and each time they gave me two bottles.’
After the conversation ended, Sharon and Ankur blinked at each other.
‘Smart’, said Ankur, pointing to himself. ‘Yes, it’s all you dear,’ replied Sharon.

Doubts arose after the winery managed to create a blend similar to the couple’s 2015 ‘Samantha’s Paddock’ in just 10 minutes
In separate cameras, Ryan clarified his allegations.
Ryan apparently annoyed, saying, ‘The thoughts were Sharon and Ank apparently had to googling the recipe.
‘I wanted to know how close they were and I Googled, and this’ [the recipe] straight up. Surely these people must have googled it.”

Ryan mentioned that there was so much confidence in the pair after the challenge.
‘It should have been a quick little Google search,’ he ended.
