Tanya Bardsley has spoken about the suffering she suffered at the hands of brutal thugs who wanted to take her own life.
The Real Housewives of Cheshire star, 41, has told how she threw herself in front of a moving car when she was younger, adding that she has tried to commit suicide three times in total.
Speaking to Johnny Seifert on the Secure the Insecure podcast, Tanya said: ‘I tried to take my life. I have tried to commit suicide thrice in my youth. Luckily, I failed every single time which I’m very glad about.

‘But I jumped in front of a car at that point, and I managed to get out of the way and thank God because I was scared thinking what would have happened if that poor guy had hit me.
‘I guess the universe has bigger plans for you and maybe I had to go through this too.
‘I always feel that you just have to tell your story whether it’s bad or good and because it might help someone somewhere. you never know.’

The television personality, who is married to footballer Phil Bardsley, said she was very shy when she was younger.
He described how as well as being bullied, he often needed to change schools because he moved with family because of his father’s military service, which left him feeling very disturbed.
Tanya said: ‘I was really shy, didn’t talk to anyone. And then I was bullied really badly, which I think most kids are at some point in life, but I was bullied really badly.
‘And then my dad was in the army so we changed schools a lot, which I found, because I kept starting a new one every time, I was the class clown.’

Tanya – who recently spoke out about suffering a seizure after starting new ADHD medication – shares sons Rocco, 13, Renz, nine and Ralfie, six, with Burnley footballer Phil, 37.
‘I don’t want to rock the boat,’ she said. ‘My kids’ schedules are very intense and then I’ve got a business and so I feel like I’m going to be leaving now and again.
‘As a guest, the door is open for me to go back full-time, but at the moment I can’t. I don’t want to miss my kids.
‘I love that they grow up so fast and I have so many of them and their lives are so intense. I have to be there.’
