Russian children going to school in minus 51 degrees!

Moscow / Russia’s Siberia is considered one of the coldest places in the world. Schools are open here even during the Corona epidemic. Schools are closed in Nepal as soon as the temperature rises. However, in the Russian city of Omyakon, where the temperature is minus 51 degrees Celsius, schools are still open.

Children are going to school in spite of severe cold. The school is closed to children under 11 when the temperature drops below minus 52 degrees Celsius.

The 83-year-old school is located in a village in Russia. The school was established in 1932 during Stalin’s rule. The population of Omyakon village is about 2500. Offices like post office and bank are also open here.

Outbreaks appear to be exacerbated during this time. Schools are open even in epidemics. As soon as there is any suspicion, the corona of the parents and the student is tested.
