Oreo announces return of fall flavor after five years

It may not seem like pumpkin spice season is upon us right now, but it is creeping up. Oreo is one of the first brands to announce the summer return of its fall flavor—the Pumpkin Spice Cookie, which hasn’t been available since 2017.

The cookie, which features pumpkin spice cream sandwiched between two Golden Oreos, will hit shelves on August 15, the brand announced on social media Wednesday.

While August may seem early to introduce a classic fall flavor, pumpkin spice lovers rejoice on social media. And Oreo isn’t the only brand expected to announce pumpkin spice this month.

Starbucks usually brings out its pumpkin spice lattes in August, as does Dunkin’. Neither have announced a return drink for the iconic drink yet, but they are expected to be in the near future.

However, those lovely lattes may cost more this year, as the price of coffee has steadily increased. In 2021, Coffee prices hit a new multi-year high And earlier this year, Starbucks Price hike announced This is the third after October last year.

But there are many more pumpkin spice products for Scrooge. Cheerios, Jell-O Pudding, Swiss Miss Hot Cocoa, Thomas’ English Muffins and even Cup noodles – Yes, ramen – have come in pumpkin spice flavor.

It’s unclear whether pumpkin spice products will be reintroduced this year, but if they follow the specific timeline, it could be in late summer—not fall.
