After three weeks in the woods, Matt Hancock was ready to spend a night on the town on Monday.

Hours after finishing third on the 2022 series of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here, the former health secretary, 44, was celebrating attending the series wrap party with girlfriend Gina Coladjello, 45 .

The couple matched in white for a celebratory bash as it was revealed that Matt received a 21% split of the final vote.

Gina showed off her trim figure in her halter-neck jumpsuit, paired with a bright pink bag and gold sandals.

Matt had time to wash off the jungle mess, emerging from the plush hotel of the campmates in a crisp white shirt and blue jeans.

He finished in third place during Sunday night’s finale, which saw lioness Jill Scott beat Hollyoaks actor Owen Warner into second place to be crowned Jungle Queen.

The ITV show announced how the public voted in the final, with the winner Jill receiving 47.29% of the vote, Owen 30.99% and Matt 21.72%.

After Matt left and it was down to one vote between the final two, the winner Jill received a 57.66% majority while Owen received 42.34%.

The final episode saw the three campmates take on the Bushtalker Trials to win five stars per person and the feast of their dreams later that evening.

The next morning he was greeted by Ant and Dec who announced the winner of the 2022 series.

Upon leaving the Australian wilderness, Matt was reunited with his girlfriend Gina and the pair shared a close hug and kiss on the iconic bridge.

As they embraced, an overwhelmed Matt was heard saying ‘I love you so much’ to his partner, who traveled more than 9,000 miles to greet the Tory MP.

The politician dashed all hopes in the grand finale and after his exit, admitted that he decided to enter the jungle because he wanted to show a ‘lighter side’ to his personality.

Following his exit, he spoke to hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly about his time in the camp, saying he decided to join the show because he said politicians were perceived by the public as ‘human enough’ is not seen.

‘I just wanted to show who I am as a person. A lot of people come to me with pre-conceived ideas for obvious reasons, but I just wanted to be the same,’ he said.

‘Totally politician, we don’t come across as human enough. This is an extreme way of doing it.

Talking about the controversy surrounding his arrival, Matt admitted he was ‘terrified’ to walk in the woods and meet the other celebrities.

He said: ‘When I first walked in, there was just Sean [Walsh], and we got a little dizzy. He makes everyone nice by laughing at everyone’s jokes. When we went to the main camp and discovered some of the current dynamics, it was tough.

During the show, Matt was famously questioned by ITV newsreader Charlene White about his handling of the coronavirus pandemic and broke his own social distancing guidelines when he was caught hooking up with Gina Colaangelo. How did you break it?

Addressing the moment, Matt said he was “grateful” to his classmates that they were able to “have the grown-up conversation” despite his strong feelings, and acknowledged that he had issues with politics and his dyslexia. There were also many ‘important’ discussions about

He said: ‘We managed to talk about some really important things, not only politics but also dyslexia, especially about being gay with Jill and George, all kinds of interesting conversations.’
