Exclusive: Love Triangle star accused of buying 130,000 Instagram followers to boost her profile — her social media numbers skyrocketed without explanation after show ended
A participant on the Stan dating series Love Triangle has been accused of buying more than 130,000 Instagram followers in an attempt to boost her online profile.
Fitness instructor Patrick Hong has raised eyebrows after his followers mysteriously skyrocketed without explanation.
Hong’s follower count has increased by 131,500 in the past 30 days, an unusual increase compared to her co-stars who only had several hundred.

Social Blade statistics show that his followers have jumped several thousand all at once without explanation, which often indicates bot activity.
Fake profiles often have usernames with strange combinations of numbers and letters. Many of Liam’s followers have usernames like this.
A co-star told Daily Mail Australia, “Two days before the last episode she only had 4,000 followers… Two days later her account started to grow between 10,000 and 20,000, yet no one commented or liked her videos.” Wasn’t liking it.” ,

According to one of Hong’s co-stars the fitness influencer filmed himself buying followers and then bragged about having the most followers from the show.

Being verified on Instagram provides several algorithmic benefits, as well as making the account more attractive to potential advertisers.
When contacted for comment, Patrick laughed off the claims, saying: ‘Thanks for the green update. Tell them it’s about $100 a follower if anyone is interested.
100,000 ‘instant’ Instagram followers can usually be bought for around $742 AUD.
