‘It may not sound traditional but we’re killing it’: Kate Hudson gives an insight into co-parenting with her exes and says she ‘hopes to marry’ fiancé Danny Fujikawa
Kate Hudson has opened up about co-parenting with her exes and her current relationship with fiancé Danny Fujikawa.
The daughter of Goldie Hawn, 77, and Bill Hudson, 73 (she calls stepdad Kurt Russell, 71, dad) has three kids and says their blended family is “seriously strong.”
Kate, mother of 18-year-old son Ryder, was married to Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson, 55, when she was 23. Ryder is now in college and dating Iris Apatow.

Kate and Chris separated in 2006 and their divorce was finalized in 2007, but Kate maintained a cordial relationship with him as they raised their son.
Kate shares Bingham, 11, with her ex-fiancé Matt Bellamy, 44, of Muse fame, and Queen, four, with her current longtime love and musician, Danny Fujikawa, 36.
They talked about co-parenting in an interview with the Sunday Times.

She said: ‘Chris and I just needed to check in one more time, Matt is awesome. I couldn’t have asked for a better co-parent. You can have a wonderful time with your ex because you are really only focused on the love of your child.’
And in fact he’s so close to Matt’s wife Elle, 32, that they all go on vacations together.
She said: ‘It may not look traditional from the outside but on the inside I feel like we are killing it. The unit I put together with three kids with three different fathers is a seriously strong unit and it’s ours.’
And Kate said she doesn’t wear rose-tinted glasses when it comes to love and relationships, but she hopes to marry Danny,
They first met when she was pregnant with Ryder but they didn’t go on their first date until 2016. They welcomed Rani in 2018 and got engaged in 2021.
Kate said, ‘I hope we get married. We are in no hurry. The last thing I want at this point is to plan the wedding on top of everything else, but I’m looking forward to it.
She said that she saw old footage of him with Rani on his phone and her heart melted.
Kate concludes that her goal in life is to love and be loved and that she works hard at relationships because she enjoys them.
