Chris Pratt shares behind-the-scenes clip from The Guardians of the Galaxy holiday special… as Kevin Bacon says he had an ‘out-of-body experience’ watching the first film
Chris Pratt took to Instagram on Sunday with a series of behind-the-scenes footage recorded on the set of The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special.
The Minnesota native, 43, who plays Peter Quill/Star-Lord, posted the clip with the caption, “Behind the scenes filming our holiday special with none other than Legendary Hero Kevin Bacon.” Some Glimpses’ special was ‘streaming now on @disneyplus’.

They were also seen in a tent, panning on special aides including Dave Bautista, 53, and Bacon, 64.
He shared a shot of Bacon posing with three costumed actors in a green holiday-themed ensemble and a photo of Pom Klementieff, 36.
The holiday special’s story follows Mantis (Klementieff) and Drax (Bautista) as they travel to Earth to kidnap Bacon as a holiday gift for Quill (Pratt), an avid fan of the Bacon film Footloose.
Bacon, 64, opened up to Marvel.com on Friday about his real reaction to seeing the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie when it hit theaters in August of 2014.
The Minnesota native posted the clip with the caption, “Some glimpses behind the scenes of filming our holiday special with none other than Legendary Hero Kevin Bacon,” adding the special was “streaming now on @disneyplus.”

‘I went to the Guardian opening weekend in the afternoon and I had no idea what was going to happen,’ Bacon told the outlet. ‘If you can imagine sitting there and listening to Peter talk about you when you’re already deeply engrossed in this movie – and that’s not all, it’s one thing if it’s a regular romantic comedy. Thi and someone made a passing reference, but when it’s a real other universe, it’s a beautiful out-of-body experience.’
Bacon said he told wife Kyra Sedgwick, 57, about the film: ‘I said, “There’s got to be a little surprise in it, but I’m not going to tell you what it is.”
‘It’s one of those times when you go, boy, sometimes my life is so weird.’

The filmmaker said of the holiday special: ‘When I started writing it and I knew they were going to try to get one of Peter Quill’s heroes as a gift, of course, Kevin Bacon was the first The ones I thought of and the one it’s mentioned the most.
‘It was something that had the advantage [the special] from the beginning. I called Kevin and said, “Do you want to do this funny thing?” And he just laughs his butt off and agrees it was great.’
