Champions League – 100% victory for Liverpool and Ajax in group stage, Embappe record for PSG victory

Agency. English club Liverpool has made it to the last 16 with a 100 percent victory in the UEFA Champions League. Liverpool beat Inter Milan 2-1 in Italy on Tuesday night.

Mohamed Salah and Demok Oriji scored 1-1 to give Sanciro the victory, while Fikayo Tomori scored a consolation goal for Milan.

After the defeat, Milan lost the opportunity to reach the pre-quarterfinals. Along with Liverpool from Group B, Atletico Madrid of Spain has also reached the knockout stage. Atletico made it to the last 16 with a decisive 3-1 victory over Portugal in a tense game. In the middle of the second half, both teams were reduced to 10 players.

Despite losing to Germany’s RB Leipzig in Group A, Manchester City reached the knockout stage as group winners. Callien Embappe and Lionel Messi scored twice each to give the French side PSG a place in the last 16 as group runners-up. With two goals in the game, Embappe has become the youngest player to score more than 30 goals in the Champions League.

From Group C, Ajax of the Netherlands also beat Portugal’s Sporting Lisbon in a 100 per cent victory in the group stage. Lisbon also entered the knockout stage as runners-up. From this group, Borussia Dortmund of Germany and Besiktas of Turkey could not cross the group stage.

From Group D, Real Madrid of Spain and Inter Milan of Italy have entered the knockout stage. Real beat Inter last night. Real are runners-up despite losing the group stage.
