Brooke Blurton says she was the WORST Bachelorette

Brooke Blurton has admitted she thinks she was the worst Bachelorette – if the ratings are anything to go by.

In an Instagram Stories post this weekend, the former reality star said she was ‘s**t’ in the role.

‘Like yes, the rating would probably tell you otherwise. Not really, they’d tell you I was pretty s**t’ the 27-year-old said.

‘Actually, I won the youth category, that’s all that matters to me. But I was so tight. I was sleep deprived, made to work like a dog.

‘I can’t believe I went through that whole thing and still at least found someone in the end. Not with them anymore, but I can’t believe it.

“I’m definitely not made for something like this and I still feel like the hottest Bachelorette I am today.” It is not very positive, but I still think.’

Brooke said she has a few things to be proud of when it comes to her time on the dating series.

‘I feel and still am very proud that I was your First Ever First Nations and Bisexual Bachelorette’ she said.

‘As that chapter is completed. Representation, inclusivity, diversity still matter. That chapter will never stop. One day I will find my man, but for now I am happy dating myself.

This comes after The Bachelorette was axed by Channel 10 after last year’s season failed to attract a loyal weekly audience.

Beverley McGarvey, executive vice president of Paramount Australia, confirmed that the series will not return to screens in 2022.

‘We probably won’t have a repeat of The Bachelorette airing this year,’ he told TV Tonight.

“But we don’t really always have a recap of The Bachelorette on the air every year.” If you think back to the beginning, we had two or three years that we didn’t have, and then we started The Bachelorette.

However, Ms. McGarvey confirmed that the network has not ruled out The Bachelorette returning in the future.

channel 10 had The first confirmed the series for 2022 but later announced that The Real Love Boat would air instead.

Last year’s premiere of The Bachelor starring pilot Jimmy Nicholson drew only 482,000 viewers, compared to the 2020 premiere, which drew 681,000 viewers.

Jimmy’s finale drew 629,000 viewers, a significant drop from the previous year, with 879,000 viewers tuning in to watch Lockie make his decision.

The Bachelorette fared even worse last year, with Brooke Blurton’s season having the lowest viewership since the show’s Australian launch in 2015.

Channel 10 had previously confirmed the series for 2022 but later announced that The Real Love Boat would air instead.
