Tributes have poured in for a 12-year-old boy who was allegedly shot during a game of Russian roulette in Mississippi.
The body of Markell Noah was found in an abandoned house on Audubon Place in Jackson on Friday night, days after he was initially reported missing. He was murdered around three in the morning.
Law enforcement officials later arrested and charged two minors and an adult in connection with her murder on Friday.
The juvenile was charged with murder, and the adult was charged with accessory to murder after the fact.
According to Jackson Police Deputy Chief Derrick Hearn, who spoke to WLBT, Marcel’s body was found abandoned at the suburban home.
However, some members of Noah’s family have since expressed their doubts that the young boy died during a ‘game’. Officials are still investigating the death.

In 2021, Jackson reported a record 155 homicides—the highest per capita murder rate in the country. By October 2022, there had been 100 murders in the city.
Members of Noah’s family and community are mourning the boy, who just turned 12 on November 17.
LaToya Harris wrote on Facebook about her sadness about the loss: ‘My heart is so heavy. This young king was my son’s friend. He was always a very respectable and well behaved person.
‘He ate with us and called me mom. Praying for strength and understanding for the family of Markle Noah. You will be missed baby boy. We love you.


A local resident said that it is the job of parents to know ‘who your child is coming in contact with’.
The investigation is still pending in Jackson, but Markel’s sister Nunu took to social media and said she does not believe her brother’s death had anything to do with a game of Russian roulette.
Markle Death Was No Game [sic]’ she posted on her Facebook page.
On her Instagram page, she posted a series of photos of a conversation she had with her brother’s friend, as well as photos of the bloody crime scene where Markel’s body was allegedly found.
He wrote, ‘Not everything in the news is real.
‘It was nothing about games being played… I want justice by all means for my 12-year-old brother,’ Markle’s distraught sister continued.
Authorities have not released the names of the suspects arrested for the murder.
