Anya Taylor-Joy revealed co-star Nicholas Hoult was ‘deeply committed’ to the role when it came to the ‘traumatic’ food on the menu.
Anya Taylor-Joy has revealed her co-star in new film The Menu, Nicholas Hoult, was “deeply committed” to his role and “never wavered” when it came to food.
The 26-year-old actress claimed that repeatedly eating in front of the camera becomes ‘painful’ at a certain point, however the 32-year-old ‘just kept on going’.
She told Radio Times: ‘It sounds silly, but he’s kind of a really deeply committed actor because there’s a point where eating becomes painful. And Nick never wavered. Just keep going It was quite impressive. You were like a Hyde Park pigeon!’

The Queen’s Gambit star also said that she loved watching the Netflix documentary series Chef’s Table to prepare for the role.
She added: ‘I love laying out in joggers and watching Chef’s Table and saying I’m doing research.’
The Menu is a black comedy about a young couple (played by Anya and Nicolas) who travel to a remote island to eat at Hawthorne, an exclusive restaurant.

However, they soon learn that the celebrity chef (Ralph Fiennes) has some shocking surprises in store for them and the other guests.
The actress, who grew up in Buenos Aires with her family until the age of six, says meeting Harry Potter star Voldemort co-star Fiennes was a “big deal”.
He learned to speak English by reading books.
The stunner opened up about their meeting during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, which aired Friday night.
Of working with Ralph on her new horror-comedy, Anya explained: ‘I learned English reading Harry Potter, so it was a bit of a big deal, but my subconscious blocks me with information that I can’t handle if my Have work to do.
‘So I was cool and we got along really well but the second it’s over, I’m like, “Oh my god!” And called my mother and said. “The last person to face Voldemort was Harry and now it’s me!”‘
