She’s back! It comes as Adele kicked off her long-awaited Las Vegas residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace last Friday.
While she previously blamed crew members suffering from COVID for the postponement of the original dates, later reports claimed that she was unhappy with the extraordinary scale of the production.
She is believed to earn £800,000 a night for the 32-night run. Favorites including Chasing Pavements and Rolling in the Deep were broadcast – but the loudest cheers came when the screen behind him lifted to reveal a 24-strong string section belting out Skyfall in true Bond-themed fashion.
As the singer wrapped up her set, almost everyone in the audience waved her off. Heart-shaped confetti rained down and she signed off in her usual fashion as she disappeared under a net in a hail of pink glitter. ‘I don’t know what I’m doing with five months,’ she said, ‘but I can’t wait.’
